An odd thing happened yesterday whilst I was working from home, the sun came out for the first time since before Christmas. I had forgotten what it looked and felt like! Bearing that in mind, I fished out my trusty, and at that point dusty, Canon DSLR, put the lead on my dog and set off for a walk into the farmland behind my house. The results are shown in my latest album, which I hope you enjoy. I know I enjoyed taking them. The light made it glorious to take a few snaps and it truly transformed a place that I go walking at least twice a day with my mongrel. We had had a smattering of snow over the previous two weeks, making the surrounding fields and woodland extremely picturesque – albeit a little nippy!
In particular, I loved photographing the view of the path lined by trees on the horizon - it is my favourite sight that I have found since moving to Paderborn, Germany almost a year ago now. It is the view that keeps me going if I ever put on my trainers and try running. Once I have reached that view on a run, I forget that I can’t feel my legs, that I hate perspiring and feeling out of breath, and appreciate the beauty of what I am looking at!
All these photos are available as limited edition framed/unframed prints or on canvases for our usual prices.
PS. The sun is still shining.
PPS. Apologies for the token doggy picture.
